The word “topless” is the more familiar term to refer to a woman being barechested, but the word is very gendered and has certain sexual connotations to it. So we have the term “topfree” or “topfreedom” to have the same meaning in a more neutral / positive word. It also infers being free of something, rather than lacking with the suffix “-less.”
